ABOUT THE TEAM
Meet The Team
Ellen Grinder, M.Ed. BS.
Founder & Program Director
Ellen has 29 years of experience in afterschool education and administration in Lexington, MA where she loved running a creative large scale program of 150+ enthusiastic school age participants and 12+ talented staff members annually until its unexpected closure in 2022. She earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College and her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Salem State College. While employed as an Academic Tutor and substitute teacher in the Wilmington Public School system, Ellen co-coached the Varsity gymnastics team. Additionally, she has 20 years of experience with the Wilmington Recreation Department starting out as a ballet demonstrator, and working her way up to director of multiple programs. Ultimately she became responsible for Summer Playground, fall/spring/summer gymnastics, and winter Play Gym. Developing a creative thematic summer calendar full of special events & field trips, while managing a diverse staff, numerous volunteers, and hundreds of enthusiastic child participants was one highlight of her professional career. 39 years of experience teaching dance technique, originally under the direction of Donna Miceli at the DMDC, and continuing under her own business name, has afforded Ellen with extensive opportunities to work with and choreograph for numerous Youth/Senior Companies and Repertory Ensembles of all ages. Those endeavors evoked a signature style, humor, and versatility that inspired varied pieces of work which were performed (and competed) at the local, national, and international level. She now enjoys channeling that same energy into community service events.

This is our team of coordinators, leaders, and instructors. Each brings their own experiences and expertise to EBGCreations through their respective avenues.
